Repair and Maintenance of Complete Electrical Systems

Some older homes may require an increase in electrical capacity to support today’s electrical needs. Our expert technicians can easily accomplish this by bringing additional capacity into your home or office and adding a larger panel board.

Power Upgrades
Power upgrades are a good idea for several reasons. Some homes were built when less power was required to operate them, so additional load capacity may be needed today. Power upgrades also offer protection from overloads and other hazards. There are two main power upgrades that are most commonly used:
Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI’s) protect the building against electrical shock that may occur due to ground faults or lost electrical current. If a power fluctuation is detected, the GFCI will halt the electrical service temporarily. The most common types of GFCI are found on most modern outlets located in bathrooms, kitchens, etc. GFCI’s are also available as circuit breakers, which give ground fault protection to a designated circuit/circuits.
Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCI’s) protect your home or office from electrical fires. Similar to GFCI’s, AFCI’s interrupt electrical service when an arc is detected. Arcs can be caused by damaged wiring, incorrect wiring, or loose connections.
Overhead and Underground Electrical Systems
Whether your home or office is served by overhead electrical wiring, or underground services, Arundel Cooling and Heating provides quality inspection, installation, repair, and maintenance of these electrical systems.
Our expert technicians are qualified to thoroughly inspect and repair any overhead electrical components. Some of these elements include connection, insulation, drip loops, anchors, etc. Our technicians are qualified to understand safety standards when it comes to overhead wires.
While underground connections are not as susceptible to wind or debris-blown damage, they are more likely to be damaged by water problems. To keep underground interruptions less frequent and therefore less costly, it is important to have your underground electrical systems routinely tested and inspected for possible damage.
